From coach to web builder

Who am I?

After two decades working in service professions and in education, I started out on my own seven years ago as an NLP coach and trainer.

To keep costs down, I decided at first to build my own websites. That worked up to a point, but I was never quite happy with the result.

I've been in the same boat

So the search began for someone to build the website for my own training and coaching practice. I spoke to smooth operators I didn't click with, who put real pressure on me to sign up with them. Other providers didn't listen and mainly wanted to sell their standard package. Or I received quotes that gave me the feeling it was all about the money, not about me.

Every time, it wasn't what I was looking for. Too expensive. Too technical. Too little feel for what I did. And above all, I didn't feel understood. So I know exactly what coaches, therapists and other helping professionals run into when they want a website built.

How Your Website Guy began

Through trial and error, I taught myself after all. I found I actually enjoyed the technical side, and I kept getting better at it.

I loved being able to put my creativity into it, and I could apply everything I'd learned about marketing over the years straight away.

And when fellow coaches started asking me for help with their websites, I noticed how much I enjoyed it. That's how Your Website Guy began.

What sums me up? I'm patient, I listen and I like to explain things clearly.

I know from my own experience how nerve-racking it can be to put yourself and your practice online.

You're allowed to have doubts, you're allowed to ask questions, and I'll take you through the process step by step, at your own pace.

I love figuring out technology: WordPress, Elementor, plugins, hosting, domain names, email...

What's a hassle for you is a fun puzzle for me. I always look for solutions, even when things get technically tricky.

I was born in Liberia and grew up in Casablanca, Dubai and Rio de Janeiro.

I have a sweet cat called Chloë, a little foundling rescued from the streets of Athens.
